İlk aheste deneyimimiz olarak tadim Menüsü istedik. Tadim Menüsü olan Restaurantlarda farklı yemek denemeyi seviyoruz ve gittiğimiz restaurantlari kiyaslayip yorumlasmayi seviyoruz. Aheste'de genel olarak tadim Menüsü güzeldi. Begenemedigim bir kaç şey dışında :) ilk olarak menüde ki domates salatası yerine daha zekice ve farklı Bi salatası olabilirdi. Kolaya kacilmis gibiydi. Ikincisi menüde hersey a - z ye yazilmis ama BIRA secenegini görmedim. Diğer masada bira görünce aa dedim demek ki bira da sipariş veriliyormus. Ücüncüsü calisan bir kişi bana nedense negativ enerji verdi kendimi rahatsız hissettim. Yemekleri bize tanitan arkadaş gayet net ve iyiydi. Tadim menüsünde ki ana yemekler gayet basariliydi. Tatli olarak revani gerçekten iyiydi. Bir daha gelirmiyim bilmiyorum ama buraya gelen arkadaşlari bir de Mikla Restauranta gitmesini öneriyorum ne demek istedigimi anlayacaksiniz :)

Rakılı kalamar, balkabağı ve yürek çok çok iyiydi. 12 yıllık ekşi mayayla panelenmiş mezgit de çok iyiydi ama bu konseptte nispeten tutarsız yerleşmişti diyebilirim. Rezene çok sevmeme rağmen domatesli rezene salatası bana kalırsa yediklerimiz arasında en sıradanıydı. Yabani istiridye mantarı da yine denediğimize memnun kaldığımız bir yemekti. İkram olarak kereviz sarma geldi ama yine en büyüleyici tabaklardan değildi. Tatlı olarak revani ve ayva tatlısının yorumlanmış versiyonları vardı fakat ilgimi çekmedikleri için denemedim. Şaraplar yerli ve güzel bir seçki. Buna paralel olarak Türkçe cover müzikler vardı ve açıkçası ambiyansla biraz ilişkisiz gibiydi.

Rezervasyonumuzun tarihini karıştırmamıza rağmen sorun etmeden yardımcı olan güleryüzlü ekibe ve lezzetli yemeklere sahip bir işletme. Ambiyans ve müzikler de aynı şekilde çok güzeldi. Özellikle mezgit pane, kokoreç, yürek, rakılı kalamar, revani çok lezzetliydi.

Restoranın ulaşıma kolaylığı, içerinin ambiyasının güzelliği bir kenara; çok güzel karşılanıyor ve ağırlanıyorsunuz. Tüm çalışanlar güler yüzlü ve yardımcı. Tadım menüsünü denedik, yediğim her şey istisnasız harikaydı. Değişik tatlar denemeyi seviyorsanız kesinlikle gitmenizi tavsiye ederim. Seçim yapması zor ama rakı kalamarı gönlümde ayrı bir yer aldı. Eşimle michelin guide listesindeki restoranlara gitmeye karar verdiğimizden beri aklımızda olan bir mekandı. Bu akşam deneyimledik ve gerek atmosferi gerekse lezzetleri ile bayıldığımız bir mekan oldu. Tadım menüsü ve alakart menüsü mevcut biz alakart tercih ettik. 3meze 2 ana yemek isteyecekken servis elemanı bizi çok gelebilir diye uyardı iyi ki de uyarmış 4meze ve 1ana yemek gayet yeterli oldu. Restoranın imzası olan dudi pilavı, ızgara rezeneli domates salatası, ızgara ahtapot, ekşi maya pane mezgit ve ceviz tarator ile tavuk confit istedik, balık köftesi ikramı oldu ayrıca. Hepsi çok lezzetliydi ama özellikle deniz ürünleri çok çok güzeldi. Izgara rezeneli domates salatasını ve dudi pilavını da çok beğendik. Her meze/yemek gelişinden önce servislerimiz değiştirildi, mezeler detaylandırıldı demem o ki servis elemanları da gayet ilgili ve yardımcı. Biz çok güzel bir gece geçirdik. Ambiyans olarak romantik bir mekan ve loş bir ortam. İyi ki gelmişiz dedik. Lezzetleri tek tek fotoğraflamak isterdim lakin ilk mezelerden sonra aklıma dahi gelmedi. Tüm aheste ailesine sevgilerle. 🫶🏻

Çok güzel bir deneyim sunan Türk tapas barı. Elbette fiyatlar yüksek, ancak fine dining tarzı bir restorana göre fiyatları oldukça uygun. Biz tadım menüsü almadık, istediğimiz mezelerden sipariş verdik. Her şey çok lezzetliydi, özellikle Zehir Zemberek ve Rakı Karides favorilerim oldu. Çalışanlar çok kibar ve güler yüzlü. Kumpir yürek en sevdiğim ama menüdeki diğer yemeklerde çok çok güzel. En iyisi tadım menüsü alıp aklınızda bunu mu yeseydim diye soru kalmaması. Spicy Margaritaya agave ekleyip daha öteye taşıyorlar. Özellikle Hakan’a teşekkürler.

Kesinlikle tadım menüsü! Restouran'a en son 2 ay önce gittim yorum yapma şansım olmamıştı. Bir aşçı olarak benim için mükemmel bir deneyim fırsatı oldu. Yemekler adeta damakta şarkı söylüyordu,birşeyler anlatmaya çalışıyordu sanki. Yemekleri yerken çok keyif aldım, eğlendim. Bambaşka lezzetler mükemmel uyum. Çalışanların ilgisi beni çok memnun etti kısa sohbetler edebilme fırsatım oldu masaya gelen her tabağın"lezzetin" hikayesi anlatıldı. Salon&mutfak koordineli profesyonel bir ekip. İçeriye girerken böyle bir mekan hayal etmemiştim. Giriş de güzel fakat biz arka kısımda oturduk. İnanılmazdı ,Bayıldım ! İki menü var tadım menüsü ve a la carte. Biz a la carte tercih ettik. Bize bizim seçtiklerimiz dışında ikramları da oldu. Baştan sona herşey çok güzeldi. Servis çok iyiydi. Kokteyllerden Maze ve spicy margarita denedik, kesinlikle tavsiye ederim. Arkadaşımızın tavsiyesi ile gittik. Önceden rezervasyon gerekli, Cuma Cumartesi için mutlaka telefonla arayın. İçerisinin dizaynı gayet güzel, atmosfer “date night” lar için uygun bence. Biz tadım menüsü ve birer kadeh şarap aldık, benim tavsiyem tadım menüsü yerine seçerek ilerlemek. Başlangıç olarak getirilen sarımsaklı zeytinyağı çok lezzetli ve sıcacık ekmek ile iyi gidiyor. Soğuklardan: ‘füme balık pate ve zeytinyağlı börülcesi’ ve ‘zehir zemberek’, sıcaklardan: karamelize kumpir patlıcan, yaprak ciğer, ızgara ev köftesi seçilebilir. Tatlı olarak vişneli çikolata mus harika. Parça parça alarak bu şekilde fiyat daha dengeli bir hale getirilebilir. Güzel bir yemek için tavsiye ederim.

Türklerden daha çok, turistlerin doldurduğu bir mekan. Mekan küçük ama şık, servis çok başarılı. Mezelerin tamamı da ezberlediğimiz ürünlerden farklı , denemekten keyif alacağınız farklı lezzetlerdi. Tadım menüsü ve a la carte menü olmak üzere iki seçeceğiniz mevcut ayrıca vegan menü de düşünülmüş bu da güzel bir detay. A la carte menü üç bölümden oluşuyor; önce, sonra, daha sonra. Biz yemeklerimizi önce ve sonra bölümlerinden seçtik. Pekmezli ekmek ve siyah sarımsaklı tereyağı ile güzel bir başlangıç yaptıktan sonra Levrek yuzu ile devam ettik. Yuzu günümüzde Japonya, Kore ve dünyanın diğer bölgelerinde yetiştirilen bir narenciye. Levrek yuzu meyvesi ve tuz ile uzun saatler boyunca marine edilerek hazırlanıyor, kırmızı soğan turşusu ile servis ediliyor. Levreğin tadı o kadar güzeldi ki o ekşimsi narenciye tadı çok yakışmıştı levrek kuzuyu kesinlikle denemelisiniz. Sonra Rakı kalamar, ızgara rezeneli domates salatası, ekşi maya pane mezgit ceviz tarator, tarhanalı balık köftesi ve yer elmalı kestaneli kereviz sarma ile devam ettik. Sonrasında miso glazeli balkabağı tercih ettik. O kadar güzel bir tabak ki; balkabağı iki formda biri miso gazeli diğeri köpük halde üzerinde tereyağlı kabak çekirdeği ve yanında çıtır soğan. En son Aheste ekibi, jest olarak harika bir tabak getirdi. Tereyağında sotelenmiş ızgara havuç ve havuç salatasından oluşan mükemmel bir kombinasyon. Bu arada bu tabak menü de yok aklınızda olsun. Kesinlikle tekrar gitmek isteyeceğim bir restoran Aheste, yürekten tavsiye ediyorum. Bütün detaylar incelikle düşünülmüş, çalışanlar çok samimi, yemekler harika, ambiyans, müzikler büyüleyici. Böyle güzel bir gastronomik bir deneyim yaşamak isterseniz kesinlikle gitmelisiniz.

Delightful restaurant with a modern Turkish and Persian mash. The restaurant is located in a beautiful old building with exposed stone walls. The restaurant is huge and extends through many rooms. The service is fabulous and on par with a few Michelin restaurants I've dined in. The food is to die for. Almost most of the meze is totally original with familiar ingredients. We pretty much tried most of the cold and warm ones and we liked them all. For our main courses, we tried the fish, chicken and lamb. While they all were delicious my absolute favorite was the chicken simply because of the rice that came with it. What a treat. Prices are reasonable. The wine selection is great. Definitely recommend.

I now know what it means to go to a five star restaurant. I walked in as a solo traveler without any reservation around 8pm. The hostess let me know there was a table I could have until 9:30 - no problem, solo I eat fast. I wanted to try the prefix menu but I am lactose. Not a problem: my server Laura worked with the kitchen to customize the menu so I could still have all the small tastes. Laura was so sweet and kind, chef was 💋👌, and the staff that explained what I was eating each course - amazing. Cannot recommend enough

Had an amazing dinner there. Did the tasting menu and it was great. So much food. The standouts for me were the leeks, lamb neck, haddock and the tomato salad. I could have had a whole meal of just those items. But everything was fantastic. And the staff were amazing! They were so friendly, helpful and just the right amount of attentive (knew when to swoop in and when to leave you alone). It was an overall great experience and I highly recommend this place to anyone in Istanbul.

İstanbul'da kaldığımız 3 haftadaki en pahalı akşam yemeğiydi ama yine de kesinlikle uygun fiyatlıydı (bir şişe şarapla iki kişi için yaklaşık 1200 TL). Romantik atmosferi ile çiftler için mükemmel, daha sofistike bir deneyim arıyorsanız kesinlikle tavsiye edilir. Banyoyla ilgili son bir not: Kadın-erkek ayrımı yerine, mekandaki iki banyo üniseks ve "sanatçı" ve "bilim adamı" ayrımı... Hangi tanımla daha çok özdeşleşeceğinize siz karar verin. , her zamanki sıkıcı cinsiyet ayrımına aldırış etmeden!

One of the best new additions to beyoglu restaurants. Offering a modern take on Turkish meze cuisine, dishes burst with flavor. Highly recommend getting the tasting menu (around 850 lira) so you can try a variety of dishes. The setting is industrial interior with exposed brick, but warm and cozy. Service is top notch, which is very rare. English spoken very well which helps. Small but quality Turkish wine list. Fair prices. I will be returning. Highly recommended.

After two 5 star reviews then a rare drop to 4 stars, Aheste is back to 5 stars or more for me. Would recommend booking which is easily done online on their website or arriving around 6pm if you can vacate the table by 8pm. Went for the tasting menu for the first time as by the time you order 3 or 4 dishes you may as well as get to taste 12-14 plates. They are very willing to switch out any dishes if you have dietary requirements with no fuss and every plate is presented and explained in detail. There were a couple of substitutions new that night so didn't match the menu. Highlights were the tomato salad, a new beetroot dish with sorrel sorbet, the calama-rakı (geddit?!) and asparagus with nectarines. Would be a nice touch if they could print off your own personalised menu which some restaurants do as a souvenir. Service is so friendly and informed and at around £45 for one incl. optional service, a glass of wine and bottle of water it's a no brainer not to try it! Easily one of the best dining experiences in 20 trips to Istanbul.

We went a bit early for a Friday dinner around 7 pm and without reservation, but were welcomed and seated without problems. The service is top! We tried the tasting menu and were amazed by every dish served, pure enjoyment for the next 2 hours. I don’t want to explain much, food is just great and worth every penny. The staff was attentive and friendly. Amazing experience. Only one small thing to criticize: Negroni was okay, but not excepcional.

A lovely experience through and through. The restaurant is located in high-ceilling galeries of brick walled rooms which you wouldn't suspect from outside. This was surprising and awe-inspiring. The ambiance is a cosy and laidback one with charming low light and candles. You can even get a peek at the kitchen through glass windows. The service was immaculate and very attentive, with great introduction of the dishes. The food itself was tasty and tastful with re-interpretation of local dishes and smart plays on local and seasonal ingredients, in a simple and homey way. Cocktails were well balanced and generous. The dishware was beautiful as well. Overall, everything you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant without the fuss of it and with added warmth and chill-factor.

A Michelin experience, hands down. The building is absolutely stunning, with exposed bricks everywhere. So much larger on the inside than it seemed. We decided to do a la carte, which did not disappoint. Our server went out of her way to help us choose our mezes and pair them accordingly. She was even honest and told us we were ordering too much. The pulpo was to die for, as was the semolina cake. The service was absolutely top notch.

The kind of restaurant I would call an experience and a trip in a matter of hours to many different places. The taste of absolutely every single meal was amazing, the flavours were balanced and we felt like each ingredient had its own imperious reason for being there. The lady who served us was very kind and the informations she gave us about dishes during each round were nice and precious. My coup de cœur was probably the mousse au chocolat at the end, or maybe another dish among the many I’m hesitating with, it’s hard to decide. The best dinner I had in Turkey, perhaps the best I’ve had anywhere? I came at the recommendation of a friend and was blown away. I wasn’t sure what to order and my server was very helpful in getting me a bit of everything - the flavor combinations (like zucchini with lavender and asparagus with lime cream) were out of this world. Paired with great service & one of their delicious wines this was a 10/10 experience all around. Definitely a must-try if you’re in Istanbul.

The whole experience was the best I could have asked for! When i made a reservation i made a note that I’m vegan, and as soon as we sat down, our waiter named Kerem (very friendly and amazing service ) asked who is vegan on the table. He explained all the options very thoroughly and he even mentioned which wines are vegan! My favourite dish is the okra! My boyfriend had the tasting menu and he absolutely loved every single dish. We were weighing up the a la carte and the tasting menu and ended up doing the tasting menu which was brilliant. I really like seafood and vegetarian food whereas my partner loves meat, and the tasting menu provides ample selections of both in unique ways. Honestly there was not one dish that we did not love! The restaurant serves a modern and creative Turkish culinary experience and is so beautifully presented. The location is very close to Galata tower, very romantic atmosphere inside a historic cistern. The food was delicious, light and full of flavour. It's a great place for mezze (Turkish tapas) and great value for money. We went for a romantic date while visiting Istanbul, and we shared vegetarian dishes, and each of them showed perfection in the execution of simple but mouth watering food.

Come back here every time I visit Istanbul and am always falling back in love with the place. The tasting menu is delicious and there is a good selection of wine. This restaurant is expensive for turkey standards but there is a reason for this and it is all about the quality of the food. The atmosphere is also wonderful and staff attentive and explain every dish.

I was very excited about going to Aheste, but the food didn't really live up to our expectations. My daughter wanted chicken, so I asked for the tasting menu, while my husband and daughter chose from the menu. We were told that it's not possible for just one of us to have the menu. Most of the dishes tasted smokey and my daughter complained that the chicken confit had no flavour and the organic wine was not so good. It was the most expensive and the worst meal we had in istanbul. The staff were sweet though.

Very friendly staff and the style of the place was quite cool actually. The food was pretty good, but nothing out of this world. The price for what we are was too high in my opinion (160€ for 2 people). We had dinner at Nusr-et the previous night and we paid exactly the same amount taking into account we had more beer/wine and had 1 stake and 1 tomahawk. Besides the price, I enjoyed my time there.

The best restaurant in Istanbul? It’s not often that you go back for more. We are here and were so blown away with the quality and taste of the food, we came back the day after. The environment is electric, the place is buzzing, the staff are awesome, the drinks are yum and the food is sensational. I highly recommend the meatballs, cheese starter and pudding for dessert. We also tried their set menu which goes for 150 per person. Make sure to book because this place is getting hotter and hotter. The price is fair for the quality and taste. If there’s one restaurant to try in Istanbul. It’s Aheste!

Ama burası hakkında en iyi şey hizmettir! ! ! Garson tüm menüyü ezbere biliyordu! Hazırlama detayları da dahil olmak üzere tüm yemeklerin en küçük ayrıntısına kadar bileşimi. Alerjilerime göre yemek seçmeme yardımcı oldu (doğu mutfağında çok yaygın olan 5 malzemenin listesi). Sipariş sırasında garson, yiyebileceğimizden daha fazla sipariş verip vermediğimiz konusunda çok sempatikti ve kesinlikle haklıydı. Ekmeğin içinde bir çeşit tahıl hayal ettim, bu yüzden sadece ekmekle değiştirilmedik, menüde olmayan bir tatlıyı da özür olarak ikram ettiler. Fiyat kategorisi ortalamanın üzerinde ama buna değer, zaten faturada bulunan %10'luk bahşiş için %10'luk bir bahşiş daha ödemek istiyorum. Burası herkese tavsiye ederim.

Very small and interesting restaurant to visit 😍 Book in advance is necessary because they host few people, more or less 30. The restaurant is small and cozy. We started with olive oil, garlic and thyme, as starter hummus and Persian rice (delicious!!!), the main course was fish and lamb and both were good. Dessert were ok, nothing impressive. 👥 With few table, the staff is attentive but at the end of dinner a little bit distracted with phones and we tried to have got the bill 3 times. 💶 Price was around 30€ per person with water and 1 glass of wine is super🍷

This is one of the best restaurants we have eaten at in Istanbul do far. Smoked eggplant with cheese sounds ordinary but is not, fish patë with a local greens, rice with barberries and fried onions, fish cakes and to crown it all, Kokoreç, grilled lamb intestines, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. They do offer a prix fixe menu as well as the a la carte. Restaurant is beautiful, with brick walls. Service impeccable. A must try. Space is small so make reservations.

Aheste – * NEW Update (Mar 2023): If you followed my previous reports, then you know we had a “bad day” with the service and the manager’s sincere apology brought us back. We must say that our recent visit to Aheste has reaffirmed its position in the Michelin Guide with Bib Gourmand. We cannot help but commend Sara Tabrizi for consistently delivering impressive dishes. Despite a previous experience with subpar service, we are happy to report that the staff has certainly redeemed themselves and our recent visit has left us thoroughly satisfied. This time around, we were fortunate to be seated in the new cistern room, which provided an intimate atmosphere that was more our style. From the moment we were seated, the staff, especially our server, Merve, displayed impeccable professionalism and attentiveness. Every little detail was taken care of, and I couldn't help but notice how effortless it all seemed. As someone who has been fortunate enough to live in Paris for many years and dine in Michelin-starred restaurants, I can attest to the quality of Aheste. When something is done right, it should be acknowledged, and Aheste certainly deserves all the praise it gets. Kudos to the entire team for a job well done. "Chapeau!"

Would recommend. We showed up without a reservation, and the place was packed. We were lucky to get a table as we showed up as someone left (the poor chap who told us the was no room ran after us as we left to apologise and let us know there was a table). Our waitress was attentive, happy to give a helpful opinion, and was on hand but not intrusive. The food was good. Served in a timely manner. Decent portions. The restaurant certainly knows how to squeeze as many customers in as possible. This isn't a bad thing, it added to the atmosphere - especially when packed - and gave it a cozy feel.

Had a truly delicious meal here, the Persian rice is outstanding, you HAVE to order it. Apparently it’s been on the menu the full 8 years so that tells you how good it is. Shout out to our waiter who gave us the tomato/walnut salad on the house as it would match perfectly with the other meze we ordered. We really enjoyed the tomato salad, the ‘too hot to handle’ aubergine dip, the meatballs, the asparagus and the chicken. Also stand out was the amazing homemade butter served with house bread, it’s smoky aubergine and garlic infused. Wow. Attentive service, well priced and in a nice setting (spend about 1600 TL for 2 people having a cocktail each, a glass of wine each and the above 6 meze). An excellent choice.

Exquisite, sophisticated and diverse in the creation of all their dishes - there is a tasting and an a la carte menu. And the cocktails all have a twist. And the staff are polite and professional. Warning: reserve three weeks ahead of time especially during the high season! I screwed up on my reservation, and yet the host found a way to serve us cocktails and ultimately found us seats.

Tasting menu was okay. Not great, not terrible, mixed. Near the end a few nice dishes but overall heavily heavily acidic and lacking balance and finesse. Left kinda hungry, since I can’t eat too much of very sweet desserts. Mushrooms were a low point - sloppy and acidic. Gross. But a few other dishes I also couldn’t eat because they were drowned in lemon juice or were a bit gross. Calamari was delish but although nominally ‘cooked’ it was raw (seems like a Turkish thing to serve seafood raw). Desserts were 100% great but too much sugar for me. The pumpkin tahini dessert has the potential to be mind-blowing. I enjoyed the fried fish bits (think SF west coast fish tacos without the taco) and the lambs neck with potatoe was excellent (the star of the savory) but the portion size was much too small. Maybe try their main dishes and avoid the tasting menu. They have a good wine selection, truly excellent service, and a good table set-up. But better restaurants in the area. Very surprised by the other reviews.

We sow a photo of their menu here in Google review with the tasting menu costing 190 lira, maybe it was a very old version of the menu because it now cost 480 lira.. Comparable to the likes of Mikla albeit with a casual atmosphere. No doubt they earned their spot on World’s 50 Best “Discovery” List for Istanbul. Exceptional service both in Turkish and English. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and are able to explain every detail. Mix of local and regional cuisine with ingredients that will surprise you. The Dudi Rice was very good with the fried onions. Seabass with yuzu and red cabbage were some of the other favorites. Everything is shareable so don’t hesitate to ask for a customized recommendations for your table. Very warm and casual atmosphere. Not loud and definitely not a showroom. We we're lucky enough to be amongst the first guests after the Covid lockdown measures. The tasting menu was an absolute hit and there was not a single dish, that was not delicious (especially the rice and the lamb heart were devine!). The whole staff was extremely welcoming and we felt very well cared for throughout our whole meal. While there is no official wine pairing to go with the tasting menu, Aheste has a whole range of Turkish wines and they were more than happy to give us recommendations. We'll definitely be back!

It is beautiful, chic and cosy inside. While the tasting menu was slightly different in its format to many it was nonetheless fantastic. Amazing, amazing and amazing. This is the kind of place, if I ran a restaurant, I'd like to run. A narrow sub-street level room with tables packed densely together, conversation flowing as freely as the wine, and cocktails mixed to chilled-out music. The menu has a separation between meze and main courses but it's really all small plates - the distinction serves to tell you the order they will be served. Absolute highlights for me were the grilled and mashed aubergine/eggplant with spritzy pomegranate seeds on top, and the fish pate with samphire. Sadly I didn't take a note of the Turkish Shiraz I drank a bottle of, but suffice to say it complemented the food well with a fruit-forward but elegant quality. Service was effortless and casually efficient. Very, very much recommended in the area. Reservations a must.

Tasting menu a must! Went to Aheste after hearing about it from friends and walking by it a million times. What a fabulous meal we had last night. They have a cool concept where you can have 2 flights of mezze - one cold and one warm and then a dessert. What is cool is lots of the items on the tasting menu are available a la carte, so when I return (definitely I will) you can order larger portions of what you loved from the tasting menu or just stick with the tasting menu. We loved all the food especially the stuffed eggplant and liver! Wine list was good, but I was unfamiliar with many of them. Definitely recommend this place. Atmosphere is fabulous for a date too. Very friendly and patient team working there too. Thumbs up!

The tasting menu (modern Turkish) is simply amazing, you just need to be hungry enough to be able to finish it. The wine selection is outstanding, the best local wines list I have found in Turkey. The restaurant makes you feel like you're in London rather than in Istanbul, so don't expect a traditional cuisine nor a typical Turkish restaurant vibe. However the food is first class and Aheste is the place to go when you'll be fed up with reheated mezes and poor house wines. Reservation needed on the weekends.

I found this spot through the Google reviews. I jumped on their website to make reservations and thank goodness I did. We arrived just after 20:30 on a Sunday night and sat near the front of the restaurant. The location is in Beyoglu which is about 5 minutes from Galata Tower where we were staying. By 21:00 the place was full. We both had the tasting menu and each dish was prepare with fresh ingredients. Some of my favorites: Cretan mash the fried beetroot, the grilled okra, dudi (persian rice), abuergine, and meatballs. The spreads were all tasty and the meatballs were not overcooked. We also ordered a bottle of wine. We are so happy with the service, the food presentation and taste that we are retuning the following weekend with the rest of our family. First time here, but definitely committing this one to memory. We had four mezes, all of which were great, and each served on its own style of plate. The leek patties with smoked yoghurt look huge, but were very crispy and a lot fluffier than, say, onion bajjis. The broad bean mash with beetroot delicately balanced with dill and vanished in a jiffy. Each dish left us wanting more. Atmosphere is friendly and casual, and staff spoke excellent English and happily explained the different dishes. Cocktails was also top notch. Recommended to couples and small groups (the place isn't very big) who want to experience Turkish cuisine beyond köfte and kebap.

the neighbourhood is calm and full of life, the staff are kind and professional. the good is just amazing, well done, and well presented. Walking up to the hill to visit Galata Tower You find a classy neighborhood and specifically Pera street, where Pera Palace Hotel is located, a few steps from there Aheste (slowly) it's a fantastic modern touch turquish cuisine.
